I’m transitioning this “Get Down and DO It!” blog into a Facebook meme. Here’s how it works: If you want to participate (which means committing / challenging yourself to do something! / anything! 5 days/week, then just post the message below on your Facebook status each night. For example, here’s my latest:
Get Down and DO It! Challenge Day #151 completed! My push-up count stands at 15,100. My “Get Down and DO It” challenges is to do 100 pushups/day, 5 days/week. Friend GDADI founder Jim Dee at Facebook.com/RawFood !!

So, for example, if your “Get Down and DO It! Challenge is to do 50 situps each night, your Day 1 post would be:
Get Down and DO It! Challenge Day #1 completed! My sit-up count stands at 50! My “Get Down and DO It” challenge is to do 50 sit-ups/day, 5 days/week. Friend GDADI founder Jim Dee at Facebook.com/RawFood !!

Why the Facebook status posts? … Because they reinforce your commitment. Stating your commitment publicly is step #1. Psychologically, you will want to keep up with it once you’ve told others. Restating it each day, 5 days/week, will help ensure that this becomes a habit and will also help keep you motivated. You won’t want to let yourself or others down by not keeping your commitment. (But, even if you do miss a day … hey, no big deal. Don’t feel bad about it. Just Get Back Down and resume your challenge!)
As for the “friend Jim” part, I’m just interested to know who all’s doing this, so I appreciate that mention in your update, too.
Plus, I’ll get to read your updates if we’re friends & know who has committeed to what. Now, go GET DOWN AND DO IT!!!
